Responsibilities
- Manage General Ledger: Oversee daily accounting operations, including accounts payable and receivable.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare accurate monthly and annual financial statements for stakeholders.
- Compliance: Ensure all financial activities comply with UK tax laws and regulatory standards.
- Payroll Administration: Assist in the monthly payroll process, ensuring accuracy and timely payment.
- VAT & Tax: Handle VAT returns and liaise with external auditors during the year-end audit.
- Process Improvement: Identify areas for process optimization within the finance department.
Qualifications
- Qualifications: Fully qualified (ACCA/CIMA) or equivalent significant experience in a similar role.
- Experience: Proven track record of month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Software Proficiency: Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with cloud accounting software (e.g., Xero, QuickBooks).
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present complex financial data clearly.
- Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy in data entry and reporting.
- Regulatory Knowledge: Deep understanding of UK GAAP and tax regulations.
