Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle accounting processes including GL maintenance, reconciliations, and month-end closings
- Prepare and analyze financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow) with variance reporting
- Oversee accounts payable/receivable, payroll processing, and tax compliance
- Develop and implement internal controls to ensure financial integrity and regulatory adherence
- Collaborate with auditors during external reviews and respond to inquiries
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and strategic financial planning initiatives
- Mentor junior accounting staff and process documentation improvements
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in public/private sectors
- Expert proficiency in QuickBooks, Excel (Advanced Functions), and ERP systems
- Proven track record in month-end/close processes and financial reporting
- Strong GAAP knowledge and experience with SOX compliance
- Exceptional analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
