Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze complex financial statements including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports
- Manage full-cycle accounting processes including month-end/year-end closes and reconciliations
- Oversee accounts payable/receivable operations with 3+ staff members
- Develop and implement internal controls to ensure financial compliance and risk mitigation
- Collaborate with auditors during quarterly and annual reviews
- Create detailed financial models for budgeting and forecasting initiatives
- Maintain compliance with GAAP and evolving tax regulations
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA/Master's preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in public or corporate setting
- Expert proficiency in QuickBooks, SAP, and advanced Excel functions
- Proven track record of managing full accounting cycles for mid-size companies
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail in financial reporting
- Experience with multi-state tax compliance and payroll processing
- Excellent communication skills for client-facing financial consultations
