Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in strict accordance with GAAP standards.
- Manage general ledger activities, ensuring accurate and timely reconciliation of bank accounts, credit cards, and intercompany accounts.
- Assist in the preparation and filing of federal, state, and local tax returns to ensure full compliance.
- Conduct internal audits and coordinate seamlessly with external auditors during year-end reviews.
- Oversee accounts payable and receivable processes, maintaining healthy vendor and client relationships.
- Generate detailed financial reports and dashboards to provide actionable insights to the executive team.
- Identify process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce financial risks.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.
- CPA certification is highly preferred but not mandatory for the right candidate.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive experience in general accounting or financial reporting.
- Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Sage, or NetSuite) and advanced Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP).
- Strong understanding of financial regulations, internal controls, and compliance standards.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to present complex financial data to non-financial stakeholders.
