Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle accounting processes including month-end close, reconciliations, and financial statement preparation
- Analyze financial data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for process optimization
- Oversee accounts payable/receivable, payroll processing, and tax compliance activities
- Implement and maintain robust internal controls to ensure financial accuracy and regulatory compliance
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support budgeting, forecasting, and strategic financial initiatives
- Lead audits and prepare documentation for external reviews and regulatory filings
- Mentor junior accountants and provide guidance on complex accounting principles
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA certification strongly preferred
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience with emphasis in public accounting or corporate finance
- Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, NetSuite) and advanced Excel skills
- Deep understanding of GAAP, tax regulations, and industry-specific compliance requirements
- Exceptional analytical skills with ability to translate complex financial data into actionable insights
- Proven track record of improving financial processes and reducing operational costs
- Strong communication skills with ability to present financial information clearly to non-financial stakeholders
