Responsibilities
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP.
- General Ledger Management: Manage the general ledger, perform complex account reconciliations, and ensure all financial data is up-to-date and error-free.
- Process Improvement: Streamline accounting workflows and implement best practices to enhance operational efficiency.
- Compliance & Audit: Ensure strict compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations and assist with internal and external audits.
- Budgeting & Forecasting: Assist in the budgeting process and perform variance analysis to support strategic decision-making.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required; Master’s degree (MBA) preferred.
- Certification: CPA or CMA certification is highly desirable.
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience in a corporate environment.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, Sage) and advanced MS Excel (PivotTables, VLOOKUP).
- Soft Skills: Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, excellent communication abilities, and the ability to work independently in a remote setting.
