Responsibilities
- Manage month-end close processes including journal entries, reconciliations, and variance analysis
- Prepare and analyze financial statements for internal stakeholders and external auditors
- Lead SOX compliance initiatives and internal control documentation
- Develop and implement process improvements for accounting workflows
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and strategic financial planning initiatives
- Maintain compliance with GAAP and regulatory requirements
- Mentor junior accounting staff and cross-functional team members
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA or MBA preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in public accounting or corporate finance
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks, NetSuite, and Microsoft Excel
- Demonstrated experience with multi-state tax compliance and international transactions
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to thrive in a remote work environment with minimal supervision
