Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger reconciliation.
- Prepare accurate and timely financial statements (Balance Sheet, P&L) in compliance with GAAP standards.
- Conduct variance analysis and assist the finance team in the annual budgeting and forecasting processes.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations by preparing and filing required documentation.
- Oversee month-end and year-end close processes with minimal disruption.
- Collaborate with external auditors and internal stakeholders to resolve financial discrepancies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.
- CPA certification or Master’s degree in Accounting is strongly preferred.
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a remote or hybrid work environment.
- Proficient in accounting software (e.g., NetSuite, QuickBooks, Sage) and advanced Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP).
- Strong understanding of US GAAP, tax laws, and internal controls.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex financial data to non-finance teams.
