Responsibilities
- Manage the end-to-month-end close process, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting.
- Prepare and analyze complex financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Perform detailed account reconciliations for general ledger accounts, bank statements, and credit cards.
- Assist in the preparation of tax returns and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
- Conduct variance analysis and provide insights to management to support strategic decision-making.
- Implement and improve internal controls and accounting processes to enhance operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on budgeting and forecasting initiatives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) certification is required.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a remote or hybrid setting.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., NetSuite, QuickBooks, Sage) and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Macros).
- Strong understanding of GAAP and internal control frameworks.
- Excellent analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
