Responsibilities
- Oversee the end-to-end monthly and annual closing process, ensuring all journal entries are accurate and timely.
- Perform complex general ledger reconciliations for various accounts, identifying and resolving discrepancies promptly.
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets and income statements, to support executive decision-making.
- Manage accounts payable and receivable functions, ensuring all vendor and client invoices are processed correctly.
- Assist with the preparation of budget forecasts and variance analysis reports.
- Ensure strict compliance with internal controls, GAAP, and local/state tax regulations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA certification is a plus).
- 3+ years of professional accounting experience, preferably in a remote or hybrid setting.
- Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, NetSuite, or Sage) and advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
- Strong understanding of US GAAP and financial reporting standards.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex financial data to non-financial stakeholders.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently in a remote environment.
