Responsibilities
- Oversee daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger reconciliation.
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP and company policies.
- Assist in the preparation of annual tax returns and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
- Collaborate with department heads to develop budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis reports.
- Manage fixed asset accounting and perform regular internal audits to ensure data accuracy.
- Streamline financial processes and implement best practices to improve efficiency.
Qualifications
- CPA certification or Master’s degree in Accounting/Finance is strongly preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a remote or hybrid environment.
- Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, NetSuite, or Xero) and advanced Excel skills (PivotTables, VLOOKUP).
- Strong understanding of GAAP principles and financial reporting standards.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present complex financial data to non-financial stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently with high attention to detail and accuracy.
