Responsibilities
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Account Reconciliation: Manage and reconcile general ledger accounts, ensuring accuracy and timely resolution of discrepancies.
- Compliance: Ensure all financial activities adhere to federal, state, and local regulations, as well as company policies.
- Process Improvement: Streamline accounting processes and implement best practices to enhance operational efficiency.
- Payroll Oversight: Assist in the preparation of payroll reports and ensure proper allocation of payroll expenses.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with the finance team and management to provide insights and recommendations for financial strategy.
- Audit Support: Serve as the primary point of contact for external and internal audits, providing necessary documentation and explanations.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; Master’s degree or CPA certification preferred.
- Experience: 5+ years of progressive experience in accounting, with a focus on financial reporting and analysis.
- Software: Proficiency in advanced Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP) and accounting software (QuickBooks, Sage, or NetSuite).
- Remote Work: Must have a reliable high-speed internet connection and a dedicated home office environment.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex financial data to non-financial stakeholders.
