The Role:
In this pivotal direct-hire role, you will oversee our core financial operations, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and strategic financial planning. You will act as a key partner to management, providing insights that drive our growth.
Responsibilities
- Manage Month-End & Year-End Close: Lead the end-to-end financial closing process, ensuring timely and accurate reporting for all stakeholders.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare complex financial statements, variance analysis, and management reports with a focus on accuracy and insight.
- Account Reconciliation: Perform detailed reconciliations of bank accounts, credit cards, and intercompany accounts to ensure data integrity.
- Compliance & Audit: Ensure all financial activities comply with GAAP, internal controls, and relevant regulatory requirements; support external audits seamlessly.
- Process Improvement: Identify inefficiencies in current accounting workflows and implement automated solutions to streamline operations.
- Tax Preparation Support: Assist the Tax Department with quarterly and annual tax filings and research.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or CMA certification is a strong plus).
- Experience: 3-5+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a corporate or high-growth environment.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., NetSuite, QuickBooks, or Xero) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
- Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills; ability to explain complex financial concepts to non-finance teams.
- Organization: High level of attention to detail with strong time management and organizational skills.
- Remote Work: Must have a dedicated home office environment and high-speed internet.
