Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain accurate financial records, including general ledger entries and reconciliation of accounts.
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with GAAP and internal policies.
- Assist in the preparation of federal and state tax returns and ensure timely filing.
- Conduct expense analysis and provide insights to management to optimize financial performance.
- Collaborate with the payroll department to ensure accurate processing of employee compensation.
- Perform regular audits of financial data and identify areas for process improvement.
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities for assigned departments.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA or CMA certification is a plus).
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in accounting or financial analysis.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, or Xero) and MS Excel (advanced functions).
- Strong understanding of GAAP, tax regulations, and financial reporting standards.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently in a part-time capacity.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to interact with clients and stakeholders.
