Responsibilities
- Manage the full cycle of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
- Prepare and analyze complex financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, in accordance with GAAP.
- Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, ensuring vendor and client transactions are recorded correctly.
- Conduct variance analysis to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for cost savings.
- Assist in the preparation of tax filings and coordinate with external auditors during annual reviews.
- Develop and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure data integrity.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide financial insights and support strategic decision-making.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Master’s degree or CPA certification is a strong plus).
- 3-5+ years of progressive experience in corporate accounting, preferably in a remote or hybrid setting.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, QuickBooks, Sage) and advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP).
- Deep understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and financial reporting standards.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
- Strong communication skills, capable of explaining financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
