Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle accounting operations including month-end close, reconciliations, and financial reporting
- Prepare and analyze financial statements ensuring GAAP compliance
- Oversee accounts payable/receivable processes and payroll coordination
- Conduct internal audits and implement process improvements
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on budgeting and forecasting initiatives
- Maintain compliance with NY state tax regulations and SOX requirements
- Lead system implementations for QuickBooks and ERP platforms
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance with CPA license required
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in public/private sectors
- Expertise in GAAP, SOX compliance, and NY tax regulations
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks, Excel, and ERP systems
- Proven experience managing month-end close and financial reporting
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
- Remote work experience preferred
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
