Responsibilities
- General Ledger Management: Oversee the daily operations of the general ledger, ensuring all journal entries are accurate, timely, and fully reconciled.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet) for executive review.
- Accounts Payable/Receivable: Manage the end-to-end AP/AR processes, including processing invoices, payments, and collections.
- Compliance & Audit: Ensure strict adherence to GAAP, IRS regulations, and internal control policies; assist in external and internal audits.
- Month-End Close: Lead the month-end and year-end close procedures, preparing necessary schedules and variance analysis reports.
- Bank Reconciliation: Perform high-level bank reconciliations and investigate and resolve any financial discrepancies.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration required.
- Certification: CPA, CMA, or EA certification is strongly preferred.
- Experience: 3-5+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably within a remote or hybrid setting.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in accounting software (NetSuite, QuickBooks, Sage, or Xero) and advanced MS Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, Macros).
- Soft Skills: Exceptional attention to detail, strong analytical problem-solving abilities, and excellent communication skills.
