Responsibilities
- Manage daily general ledger accounting activities, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP standards.
- Perform bank reconciliations and monthly close procedures to ensure accuracy.
- Assist with the preparation of annual tax filings and government reporting requirements.
- Conduct internal audits and implement internal controls to mitigate financial risk.
- Collaborate with department heads to provide financial insights and variance analysis.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license is a strong plus.
- 3+ years of experience in general accounting, preferably in a remote or hybrid setting.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, Sage) and Microsoft Excel (advanced functions).
- Strong understanding of US tax laws and regulatory compliance.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
