Responsibilities
- Oversee daily accounting operations, including accounts payable and accounts receivable reconciliation.
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with GAAP and local regulations.
- Manage general ledger functions, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of all financial data.
- Assist in the preparation of tax documents and ensure full compliance with state and federal tax laws.
- Conduct internal audits to identify discrepancies and implement process improvements.
- Collaborate with the finance team to develop budgets, forecasts, and strategic financial plans.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; CPA certification is a plus.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a remote or hybrid setting.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite) and advanced Excel skills.
- Strong understanding of US GAAP, tax regulations, and financial reporting standards.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders.
- Must be located in or willing to work from New Orleans, LA.
