Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements with variance reporting
- Manage complex month-end closing processes and reconciliations
- Lead tax compliance initiatives and audit support documentation
- Develop financial forecasting models and budget variance analyses
- Maintain internal controls and SOX compliance documentation
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on process improvements
- Mentor junior accounting staff on technical best practices
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience
- Expertise in GAAP, GAAS, and tax compliance regulations
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks, Excel, and ERP systems
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
- Proven experience in multi-state tax filing
- Excellent communication and remote collaboration abilities
- Experience with SaaS or fintech industry preferred
