Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle accounting operations including month-end close, reconciliations, and financial reporting
- Prepare and analyze financial statements ensuring compliance with GAAP and regulatory requirements
- Oversee accounts payable/receivable processes and implement process improvements
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support budgeting, forecasting, and audits
- Maintain accurate financial records using QuickBooks and ERP systems
- Lead tax preparation activities and coordinate with external auditors
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience with remote work exposure
- Expertise in QuickBooks, Excel, and accounting software implementations
- Strong analytical skills with ability to interpret complex financial data
- Proven experience in month-end close processes and reconciliations
- Excellent communication skills for cross-functional collaboration
- Kentucky CPA license or eligibility to obtain within 6 months
