Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end accounts payable and receivable processes to ensure timely and accurate payments.
- Oversee the monthly and annual financial close procedures, ensuring all deadlines are met.
- Prepare and analyze financial statements (Balance Sheet, P&L, Cash Flow) in accordance with GAAP standards.
- Assist in the preparation of quarterly and annual tax filings and ensure compliance with federal and state regulations.
- Conduct variance analysis to identify trends, discrepancies, and opportunities for cost savings.
- Collaborate with the budgeting team to develop and monitor departmental budgets.
- Maintain accurate internal controls and audit trails.
- Provide ad-hoc financial reporting and support to management as needed.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration required; CPA certification is highly preferred.
- Minimum of 4 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a remote or hybrid environment.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, SAP, or Xero) and advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Macros).
- Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and financial reporting standards.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills with a high attention to detail.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced setting.
