Responsibilities
- Oversee monthly/quarterly closing processes including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting
- Analyze financial data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for optimization
- Ensure compliance with GAAP, SOX, and regulatory requirements
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on budgeting, forecasting, and strategic initiatives
- Manage complex accounts payable/receivable cycles and vendor relationships
- Lead internal control evaluations and process improvement projects
- Prepare executive dashboards and ad-hoc financial analyses
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance; CPA or MBA preferred
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in public/private sectors
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks, SAP, and Excel (VLOOKUP, PivotTables)
- Proven track record with SOX compliance and internal audits
- Exceptional analytical skills with attention to detail
- Strong written/verbal communication abilities
- Experience with multi-state tax compliance (NV/NC focus)
- Certifications in ERP systems or financial modeling a plus
