Responsibilities
- Manage and reconcile complex general ledger accounts with meticulous attention to detail
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements ensuring GAAP compliance
- Lead month-end and year-end closing processes including journal entries and accruals
- Develop and maintain robust financial models for forecasting and budgeting initiatives
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide insightful financial analysis and strategic recommendations
- Oversee accounts payable/receivable processes and optimize cash flow management
- Ensure internal controls are documented, tested, and effectively implemented
- Mentor junior accounting staff and contribute to process improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA or MBA preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience with a focus on financial reporting
- Proficiency in QuickBooks, SAP, and advanced Excel functions (VLOOKUP, PivotTables)
- Demonstrated expertise in month-end closing, reconciliations, and financial analysis
- Strong understanding of GAAP, SOX compliance, and internal controls
- Exceptional problem-solving skills with ability to identify and resolve discrepancies
- Proven experience in remote work environments with strong self-discipline
- Excellent communication skills for presenting complex financial data to stakeholders
