Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate general ledger accounts and reconcile bank statements monthly
- Process accounts payable/receivable and manage payroll for 15-20 clients
- Prepare monthly financial statements including P&L, balance sheets, and cash flow reports
- Oversee sales tax filings and ensure compliance with federal/state regulations
- Implement and optimize accounting software workflows (QuickBooks Online)
- Assist with month-end closing procedures and audit preparation
Qualifications
- 5+ years of professional bookkeeping experience with QuickBooks ProAdvisor certification
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance preferred
- Expert knowledge of GAAP principles and California tax regulations
- Advanced proficiency in Excel (VLOOKUP, PivotTables) and accounting software
- Proven ability to manage high-volume transaction processing
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills for client interactions
