Responsibilities
- Oversee daily accounting operations, including accounts payable and receivable.
- Prepare accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Conduct bank reconciliations and ensure all financial records are up to date.
- Assist in the preparation of annual tax filings and ensure compliance with GAAP and local regulations.
- Manage budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis to support senior management.
- Lead and mentor junior accounting staff and assist with process improvements.
- Utilize accounting software (QuickBooks, NetSuite, or Sage) to streamline workflows.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA preferred).
- 3 to 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a remote or hybrid setting.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting management software.
- Excellent knowledge of financial reporting standards and tax regulations.
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Effective communication skills with the ability to explain complex financial data.
- Must be a resident of the United States with valid work authorization.
