Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle accounting operations including accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and month-end closes
- Prepare and analyze financial statements (P&L, balance sheets, cash flow) with GAAP compliance
- Lead audit processes and ensure regulatory compliance for multi-state operations
- Develop financial models and variance analysis to support strategic decision-making
- Optimize accounting systems and implement process improvements
- Mentor junior accounting staff and cross-departmental financial initiatives
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in public/private sectors
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks, SAP, and Excel with VBA skills
- Proven expertise in SOX compliance and internal controls
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent communication abilities for stakeholder reporting
- Remote work experience and self-motivation
