Responsibilities
- Manage daily accounting operations, including accounts payable and accounts receivable, ensuring all transactions are recorded accurately and timely.
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP and company policies.
- Perform complex general ledger reconciliations and investigate and resolve discrepancies.
- Assist in the annual budgeting process and provide variance analysis to senior management.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation and enforcing compliance.
- Collaborate with the finance team to optimize cash flow and improve financial processes.
- Oversee the month-end and year-end close processes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA/CMA preferred).
- 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a corporate environment.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, Sage) and advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Macros).
- Strong understanding of US GAAP and financial reporting standards.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a high attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present complex financial data clearly.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently in a remote or hybrid setting.
