Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements, including balance sheets and income statements.
- Manage general ledger accounts, ensuring accuracy and proper classification of transactions.
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts on a monthly basis, resolving any discrepancies promptly.
- Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and provide variance analysis to management.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local legal requirements, including tax regulations.
- Process accounts payable and receivable, maintaining accurate records.
- Prepare and file quarterly and annual tax returns in coordination with external auditors.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 3+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a corporate environment.
- Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, SAP) and Microsoft Excel (Advanced functions required).
- Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Excellent attention to detail and analytical problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for cross-departmental collaboration.
