Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements with detailed variance reporting
- Manage full-cycle accounts payable/receivable and general ledger maintenance
- Lead month-end and year-end closing processes including reconciliations
- Ensure compliance with GAAP, SOX, and industry-specific regulations
- Develop and implement financial controls to mitigate risk
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on budgeting and forecasting initiatives
- Automate accounting workflows using ERP systems and Excel macros
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in public or corporate settings
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks, SAP, and Microsoft Excel
- Expert knowledge of GAAP, tax regulations, and financial reporting standards
- Proven ability to manage remote teams and virtual collaboration tools
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Experience with multi-state compliance and intercompany accounting
