Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain the general ledger, ensuring accuracy and completeness of financial records.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
- Assist with the preparation and filing of federal and state tax returns, as well as local tax filings (e.g., Florida/SF area specific if applicable).
- Reconcile bank accounts, credit card statements, and general ledger accounts on a monthly basis.
- Perform variance analysis and assist in budget preparation and forecasting.
- Process accounts payable and receivable transactions and manage collections.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and internal controls.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
- 3-5+ years of progressive accounting experience (CPA preferred but not mandatory).
- Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, NetSuite, or Sage) and Microsoft Excel (Advanced functions).
- Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
- Excellent attention to detail and analytical problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment with strong time management.
- Experience with payroll processes is a plus.
