Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle accounting operations including month-end close, reconciliations, and financial reporting
- Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for process optimization
- Prepare and maintain accurate balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow projections
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support budgeting, forecasting, and audit processes
- Ensure compliance with GAAP, SOX regulations, and internal financial controls
- Lead accounts payable/receivable workflows and vendor management
- Develop financial models and ad-hoc analyses for strategic decision support
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in public/private sector
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and accounting software (QuickBooks, NetSuite, SAP)
- Demonstrated expertise in financial reporting, reconciliations, and internal controls
- Strong analytical skills with ability to translate complex data into actionable insights
- Experience with multi-state tax compliance and audit preparation
