Responsibilities
- Oversee daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger maintenance.
- Prepare and analyze complex financial statements, including balance sheets and income statements, on a monthly basis.
- Perform regular bank reconciliations and ensure all financial records are accurate and up-to-date.
- Assist in the preparation of annual tax returns and coordinate with external auditors for annual reviews.
- Develop and implement internal controls to safeguard company assets and improve operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with department heads to forecast budgets and provide insightful financial analysis.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required; CPA certification is a strong plus.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience in a corporate environment.
- Proven proficiency with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage) and advanced Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP).
- Strong understanding of GAAP, tax regulations, and financial reporting standards.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain complex financial data to non-financial stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a remote setting.
