We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our dynamic finance team in Atlanta, GA. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of our financial reporting, managing accounts payable and receivable, and supporting month-end and year-end close processes.
Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain the general ledger, ensuring all transactions are recorded accurately and in compliance with GAAP.
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports.
- Perform bank reconciliations and variance analysis to identify discrepancies and resolve them promptly.
- Assist in the preparation of financial schedules and supporting documentation for external audits and internal reviews.
- Oversee accounts payable processes, including processing invoices, verifying expenses, and managing vendor relationships.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations, including the preparation of tax returns.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide financial insights and support strategic decision-making.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA or CMA certification is a plus).
- Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive experience in accounting or finance roles.
- Strong proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite) and advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently in a remote environment and meet tight deadlines.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to explain complex financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders.
