Responsibilities
- Manage General Ledger: Oversee daily accounting operations, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and manage the closing process.
- Reconciliation: Perform bank reconciliations and resolve any discrepancies in a timely manner.
- Compliance: Ensure all financial activities comply with federal, state, and local regulations.
- Process Improvement: Identify areas for process improvement in the accounting workflow.
- Assistance: Support the Finance Director with budget preparation and year-end audits.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA preferred).
- Experience: 3+ years of progressive experience in accounting or finance.
- Software: Proficient in QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage; advanced Excel skills required.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Attention to Detail: Strong analytical skills with a high degree of accuracy.
- Flexibility: Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
