Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements ensuring GAAP compliance
- Manage complex month-end closing processes including journal entries and reconciliations
- Lead internal and external audit coordination with stakeholders across multiple states
- Develop and maintain financial models for forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis
- Implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in financial reporting
- Maintain compliance with SOX controls and regulatory requirements
- Mentor junior accounting staff and cross-functional teams on financial processes
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in public accounting or corporate finance
- Expert knowledge of GAAP, SOX compliance, and financial reporting standards
- Advanced proficiency in Excel, QuickBooks, and ERP systems (SAP/Oracle)
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
- Experience managing remote teams or distributed finance operations
- Excellent communication skills for presenting complex financial data to stakeholders
