Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements with variance reporting
- Manage month-end and year-end closing processes including journal entries and reconciliations
- Oversee accounts payable/receivable cycles and cash flow management
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and IRS regulations for Texas-based entities
- Lead financial audits and prepare supporting documentation
- Implement process improvements for accounting efficiency
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on budgeting and forecasting
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in public or private sector
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel (PivotTables/VLOOKUP)
- Deep knowledge of Texas tax regulations and GAAP standards
- Proven experience with multi-state compliance requirements
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
