Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle accounting operations including GL maintenance, month-end closes, and financial reporting
- Analyze financial data to identify trends, risks, and growth opportunities
- Oversee accounts payable/receivable processes with 99.7% accuracy standards
- Prepare and file quarterly tax returns in compliance with federal and Nebraska regulations
- Develop and implement internal controls to ensure SOX compliance
- Mentor junior accounting staff through our structured professional development program
- Collaborate with executive team on budget forecasting and strategic financial planning
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance with CPA certification required
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in public or corporate setting
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks Online and Microsoft Excel
- Demonstrated experience with multi-state tax compliance and audit preparation
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for cross-functional collaboration
- Proven ability to manage deadlines in fast-paced environment
- Nebraska residency preferred for regional compliance expertise
