Responsibilities
- Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes including journal entries, reconciliations, and account analysis
- Prepare and deliver accurate financial statements (balance sheets, income statements, cash flow) for internal stakeholders and external auditors
- Lead compliance initiatives including SOX controls, tax filings, and regulatory reporting requirements
- Analyze financial performance metrics and provide actionable insights to executive leadership
- Manage and optimize accounting operations including accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and fixed asset management
- Develop and implement process improvements to enhance financial reporting efficiency
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on budgeting, forecasting, and strategic financial planning
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or CMA preferred
- 5+ years progressive accounting experience in public accounting or corporate finance
- Expert knowledge of GAAP, SOX compliance, and financial reporting standards
- Advanced proficiency in accounting software (NetSuite, QuickBooks) and MS Excel (VLOOKUP, PivotTables)
- Proven experience with month-end close processes and financial statement preparation
- Strong analytical skills with ability to translate complex financial data into actionable insights
- Exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving abilities in remote work environments
- Excellent written/verbal communication skills for virtual collaboration
