Responsibilities
- Manage month-end closing processes and financial statement preparation
- Oversee accounts payable/receivable and general ledger maintenance
- Conduct variance analysis and reconcile complex financial accounts
- Develop and implement internal controls for financial compliance
- Collaborate with audit teams during external examinations
- Prepare budgets and forecasts with department heads
- Maintain compliance with GAAP and SEC regulations
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 5+ years progressive accounting experience in public/private sectors
- Expertise in financial reporting systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar)
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and accounting software
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
- Experience with multi-state tax compliance
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
