As a Night Shift Accountant, you will play a crucial role in maintaining our financial integrity by processing transactions, reconciling accounts, and preparing reports during our off-hours peak activity. Responsibilities
- Perform daily accounts payable and accounts receivable processing with a high degree of accuracy.
- Conduct bank reconciliations and general ledger account reconciliations to ensure data integrity.
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements, including balance sheets and income statements.
- Assist in the month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring all deadlines are met.
- Reconcile credit card statements and inter-company accounts.
- Generate and maintain accurate inventory records and cost allocations.
- Support the external audit process by providing requested documentation and explanations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.
- Minimum of 2 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a corporate or high-volume environment.
- Must be available and willing to work the night shift (10:00 PM – 6:00 AM).
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle) and MS Excel (pivot tables, v-lookups).
- Strong understanding of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and internal controls.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a high level of attention to detail.
