We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our dynamic finance department in Milwaukee, WI. In this role, you will ensure the accuracy of financial records and support the month-end close process during our operational hours.
Responsibilities
- Manage the full-cycle accounts payable and accounts receivable processes for the night shift operations.
- Perform daily bank reconciliations and general ledger account reviews.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, GAAP, and corporate policies.
- Collaborate with the day shift finance team to resolve discrepancies and support internal/external audits.
- Process payroll adjustments and expense reports accurately and timely.
- Utilize accounting software (SAP, Oracle, or QuickBooks) to track and analyze financial data.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
- CPA certification preferred but not mandatory.
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing or corporate environment.
- Proven ability to work effectively and independently during night shifts.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Macros) required.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
