Responsibilities
- Oversee the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes to ensure timely and accurate reporting.
- Prepare and analyze complex financial statements in strict accordance with GAAP and internal policies.
- Manage general ledger accounting, including account reconciliation and variance analysis.
- Assist in the development and maintenance of the annual budget and forecasting models.
- Ensure full compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations and reporting requirements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve financial processes and operational efficiency.
- Prepare and review journal entries and supporting documentation.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; Master’s degree or CPA certification is a strong plus.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience in a corporate environment.
- Proficient in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, or NetSuite.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP) and ERP systems.
- Strong understanding of GAAP, financial reporting standards, and tax compliance.
- Excellent analytical skills with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to present financial data clearly to stakeholders.
