Responsibilities
- Financial Reporting: Prepare accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with GAAP and internal policies.
- Account Reconciliation: Perform complex reconciliations of general ledger accounts, including bank accounts, credit cards, and intercompany transactions.
- Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency in the accounting department.
- Compliance: Ensure adherence to federal, state, and local financial regulations and tax requirements.
- Team Leadership: Mentor junior staff members and provide guidance on accounting best practices.
- Month-End Close: Lead the month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring all deliverables are met on schedule.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; CPA or Master’s degree preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience in a corporate environment.
- Software: Proficiency with ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, Oracle) and advanced Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP).
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present complex financial data to stakeholders.
- Attention to Detail: Strong analytical skills with an exceptional eye for detail and accuracy.
