Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, ensuring timely and accurate payments and collections.
- Perform monthly and quarterly bank reconciliations for multiple accounts, identifying and resolving discrepancies promptly.
- Prepare and maintain general ledger entries, adjusting entries, and financial statements (Balance Sheet, P&L) in accordance with GAAP.
- Assist the Controller with annual tax preparation and quarterly sales tax filings.
- Reconcile credit card statements and manage expense reports for the finance team.
- Utilize accounting software (QuickBooks Online, Xero, or Sage) to track financial data and generate reports.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3-5 years of professional bookkeeping experience, preferably in a corporate or accounting firm setting.
- Associate degree or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required; CPA or CMA certification is a strong plus.
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks Online and Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Macros).
- Strong working knowledge of GAAP and general accounting principles.
- Excellent attention to detail with the ability to detect errors in complex financial data.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for cross-departmental collaboration.
