Responsibilities
- Manage daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger functions.
- Prepare and analyze complex financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Ensure accurate and timely preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Oversee tax compliance, including federal, state, and local tax filings and audits.
- Conduct variance analysis to identify financial trends and recommend cost-saving initiatives.
- Maintain the fixed asset register and assist in the annual audit process.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve accounting systems and internal controls.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- 3+ years of progressive accounting experience in a corporate environment.
- CPA certification or actively pursuing licensure.
- Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Sage, or NetSuite) and advanced Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP).
- Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
