We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and strategic Senior Accountant to join our Minneapolis team on a direct-hire basis. Responsibilities
- Manage the end-to-end general ledger accounting process, including monthly and year-end close procedures.
- Prepare, analyze, and present accurate financial statements (Balance Sheet, P&L, Cash Flow) in compliance with GAAP.
- Ensure timely and accurate preparation of federal, state, and local tax filings.
- Oversee accounts payable and receivable operations to maintain healthy cash flow and vendor relationships.
- Perform bank reconciliations and resolve any discrepancies immediately.
- Assist in the annual external audit process and coordinate with auditors and internal stakeholders.
- Develop and maintain internal controls and accounting policies to mitigate risk.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration required; CPA certification is a strong plus.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive experience in corporate accounting or finance.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, Sage) and advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP).
- Deep understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Strong analytical skills with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to explain complex financial data to non-financial stakeholders.
