Responsibilities
- General Ledger Management: Oversee daily GL activities, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP standards.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for executive review.
- Reconciliation: Perform complex account reconciliations for bank statements, credit cards, and intercompany accounts.
- Compliance & Audits: Assist in external and internal audits, providing necessary documentation and support.
- Process Improvement: Identify inefficiencies in accounting workflows and implement automated solutions to streamline operations.
- Team Leadership: Mentor junior accountants and provide guidance on complex accounting issues.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; Master’s degree (MBA) preferred.
- Certification: CPA certification is highly preferred but not mandatory for exceptional candidates.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience in a corporate environment.
- Software Proficiency: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables) and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, or SAP).
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present complex financial data to non-financial stakeholders.
