Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in strict accordance with GAAP standards.
- Manage the month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring all reconciliations are accurate and completed on time.
- Assist in the preparation of federal, state, and local tax returns and coordinate with external auditors during audits.
- Oversee the accounts payable and accounts receivable functions to ensure timely processing and accurate reporting.
- Conduct internal audits and internal controls reviews to mitigate financial risk and ensure compliance with company policies.
- Reconcile bank accounts, credit card statements, and general ledger accounts on a regular basis.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.
- 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a corporate environment.
- CPA certification or CMA designation is strongly preferred.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, NetSuite) and ERP systems.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including complex formulas and data analysis.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and present insights to management.
