Responsibilities
- Oversee daily financial operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger reconciliation.
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in strict accordance with GAAP standards.
- Manage the month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring all reporting deadlines are met.
- Assist in the preparation of audit schedules and coordinate with external auditors to ensure compliance.
- Monitor cash flow and assist in budget forecasting and variance analysis.
- Ensure tax compliance by preparing and filing required federal, state, and local tax returns.
- Develop and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and prevent fraud.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA certification is a significant plus).
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing or logistics environment.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, NetSuite) and advanced MS Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Macros).
- Strong working knowledge of tax laws and financial reporting standards.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
- Strong attention to detail and high level of organizational proficiency.
- Effective communication skills with the ability to present financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
